Parking suspension.
Wimbledon is part of the London Borough of Merton, as a result of this you’ll find that most areas where people live are restricted with parking permits that are issued to residents. This means that if you are moving to or from Wimbledon you will need to get the parking restrictions outside your new or old home “suspended”, this effectively means no one can park outside your property and it reserves the spot for our removal vans to come in. To do this, you need to apply to Merton council in good time before your move.

Council tax.
If you are currently living in Wimbledon and are moving outside of Merton, or you are planning to become a resident soon. You will need to tell Merton council about your move so that you are registered for council tax in the correct London borough.

Electoral roll.
An important part of moving is getting on the electoral register as soon as you can, this system is used for identification purposes, to prove you live where you say you do for credit and financial services and most importantly allows you to vote in local and national elections. Ensure you update this info as soon as you move.
